Formats and AI resizing: how they work

Two features built for the same goal: giving you full control over your album's format, without having to redo the layout from scratch every time it changes.

No fixed formats: you stay in control

AI Album Studio doesn't force you to pick from a list of preset formats. You can set any size, aspect ratio, or millimeter-precise dimension — whether you're laying out an ultra-wide panoramic album or a photo book with non-standard proportions, margins and grids remain 100% under your control.

This also applies to parent albums or smaller family versions: you're not locked into the main album's format, you can define exactly the dimensions you need for each version.

How AI resizing works between formats

When you need a version of the same album in a different format — portrait instead of landscape, or square for social media — AI resizing doesn't just crop or squeeze the existing spreads. It analyzes the subjects and focal points in each image and recomposes the layout for the new format, keeping faces and key elements inside the frame.

The result is a second layout that's consistent with the first, not a badly "squeezed" version that crops half the bride out of the spread.
