Answers to the questions we hear most often about AI Album Studio.
No, signing up and the free trial don't require any credit card.
The exact duration and what's included (Unlimited Manual Layout plus five AI-Generated Albums) are shown when you sign up, which you do inside the program on first launch.
Yes. On Windows you need Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. On Mac you need a computer with an Apple chip (M1 or later) running macOS 14 Sonoma or newer: the app does not start on Intel Macs or on older macOS versions.
No. The Lightroom plugin makes the workflow faster, but you can also import your photos directly as JPGs, without going through Lightroom.
Yes. Export the spreads of a few albums you've already designed as JPG files (from SmartAlbums, Fundy Designer or any other software) and upload them to AI Album Studio, saying whether they are single or facing pages and which chapter each spread belongs to. The software studies the spreads and learns how you lay out an album: you don't need the original project files. The spreads in one Style must all have the same proportions.
No, it needs an internet connection: to check your license, and because the AI that selects and lays out your photos runs on our servers. Your photos still stay on your computer: our servers only receive data derived from them, never the image files.
Yes, you can switch to a different plan at any time from your account area. The new plan runs for 365 days from the day you buy it. See the available plans.
AI generation stops until you renew, while manual layout and your albums always stay available. If you need more albums, you can upgrade to a higher plan from your account area: the Studio plan includes unlimited albums.
No. The AI generates an already-balanced draft, but final creative control — micro-adjustments, cropping, swapping images — always stays in your hands.
Privacy matters to us above all. Your clients' photos stay on your computer and even the visual analysis runs locally: to generate albums, the app only sends our servers data derived from the photos — numeric vectors, file names, labels and coordinates — never the image files. The only exception is Online Preview, an optional service: only if you choose to use it, the app uploads screen-quality images of the album pages to our servers in Italy, so your clients can browse the album from a link. You'll find all the details in our Privacy Policy.
